The Monches Rec Club hosts one of the largest Chicken cookouts in the state of Wisconsin. On the 3rd Saturday in June, over 2000 chicken dinners are served. The dinner includes a half of a rotisserie grilled chicken, potato salad, coleslaw and a roll.
There are youth baseball and girls fastpitch games played throughout the day. There are kid's games and bounce houses available. Live music is played in the evening.
Chickenfest is the rec clubs largest fundraiser each year. It helps raise money for maintaining the park, purchase equipment for youth leagues and supplies for the adult leagues offered in Monches.
